When to sell (profit rules)

Dip & take-profit (symmetric bands)

Sell when price rises to your sell threshold above entry — e.g. +3% on BTC after a dip buy. Full position exits at once.

Desk standard for mean-reversion: match take-profit to your dip size so each round-trip is net positive after ~0.5–1% fees. Wider bands (5%) on volatile alts; tighter (1.5%) on liquid ETFs like SPY.
